What is your photography style and what does it entail?
I create with a unique mix of cinematic and documentary style photography.
This means that I like to observe how you interact naturally with your partner and/or your surroundings and capture the in-between moments of authenticity, where you're not trying to do or be anything other than yourself - that's where the real magic lies :)
This unposed, candid documentary approach along with dynamic angles and framing is how we achieve the "cinematic look" - as if you've just paused a scene from your favourite movie.
Will you guide us through the shoot even if it is unposed?
Yes of course!
Typically I will have an outlined shot list of "scenes" that we will organically flow through as if filming a movie, where I will guide you into the vision before allowing you to relax into it and make it your own. Although I favour the "fly on the wall approach" I will be here throughout to subtly guide and help you through any uncertainty.
We aren't very comfortable on camera, how can you help make it easier for us?
Do not worry, this is a very common concern that I am experienced in working with.
I have worked with various camera shy people and therefore have formulated an approach that has everyone having a great time by the end of the shoot :)
We will start slow and low pressure with minimal movement to ease you into it. I highly recommend bringing a long props that you can use sitting down, such as a book, as this really helps make you forget that you are on camera and appears very natural as you aren't "having" to do anything out of the ordinary.
As you get more comfortable we will then transition into motion, such as running around, spinning, dancing etc.
What should we wear to a shoot?
Clothing is an integral part of achieving my signature vintage and timeless aesthetic.
Which is why I highly recommend not wearing anything that appears ultra modern such as skinny jeans or hoodies.
I will always advise on wearing looser fitting clothes that have a vintage or timeless appearance such as flowy dresses or skirts for her and wider fitting pants and shirts for him. This also ensures ease of movement during the shoot and creates beautiful motion on camera.
However it is very important that you feel comfortable and clothing options will also depend on the aesthetic we are going for!

what about shoot locations?
Often people will have a place that feels special to them, perhaps the location of their first date or somewhere they love to spend time in.
However if you are unsure about where to have your shoot, I have some regular spots I like to use and we can choose something beautiful together.
Perfect choices to achieve my typical style are country parks, fields, beaches, lakes and any wide open outdoor spaces.
*It's important to consider space and surroundings when choosing a location as we will be moving around & utilising the whole space, not just staying in one spot. Somewhere too busy or with unappealing sights in the background can ruin the flow of the shoot and the photos themselves.
Are you willing to travel to us?
YES!!
travelling is my favourite thing and no place is too far :)
(note: travel and accommodation fees will be added onto the final price)
How and when will we recieve our photos?
All galleries are delivered via the platform powering this website, Pixieset.
You will receive an email link to your gallery with a PIN number in order to view and download them at full resolution.
This ensures that no one else but you and me have access to them!
My current turn around delivery time for portrait sessions is 2-3 weeks and 3-8 weeks for weddings (depending on package)

How do i / we book you?
If you'd like to work together then kindly fill out my inquiry form in full and I will get back to you within 48hrs to start planning your shoot!
What is your cancellation / rescheduliung policy?
For portait sessions, I require a minimum of 48 hours notice for any cancellations in order to receive your deposit back or reschedule free of charge.
How does payment work?
I require a deposit of 25% in order to secure your booking!
The invoice for the rest will be sent once your photos are ready in order to receive your full gallery.
